Last week I attempted to reinstall Windows on my home PC. I've been having issues with blue screens since I got the motherboard replaced, so was trying some things. Updating the BIOS didn't relieve it, so I thought I would try a reinstall, before doing a format. Well, I got a message saying that a file could not be copied...so after trying several times, I skipped the file because that was one of the options. Then the install continued a bit and then died with a blue screen. Reboot was successful, but then another blue screen after the install had gone a little further. Rebooting was successful again, but this time suddenly the PC turned off. It has turned on since. Long story, short - it's in the shop again. I'm awaiting word on what's wrong with it. I still think the memory stick is wonky somehow. So, with no PC I've been watching TV (mostly the Olympics) and rented DVDs. Nothing earth shattering yet. We also rented some XBOX games. One advantage the console games have over PCs is you never have compatibility issues! Pop in the disc and play! No worries. Still, I'd rather have the PC.
