I just finished playing another PC game. It's called Second Sight. In a nutshell, I thoroughly enjoyed it. You are Dr. John Vattic, initially a beat up, tortured looking psych patient. From there the story evolves into a truly engrossing timeline of events switching between current/future/past events. As John, you have a number of psychic abilities and you learn how to use a number of weapons. The targeting is a lock-on type with some ability to aim. The coolest weapon is the sniper rifle. Its zoom function is unique to me. The zoom view doesn't take on the entire screen, but rather has an inset at the bottom right corner of your screen. It didn't take long to adjust, and it makes it easy to "plan" your next target because you can see the regular picture and therefore the character movements in the main picture. The AI in the game is somewhat weak, but the story makes up for it. I found myself wanting to get to the next part of the story more and more as it progressed. I think I played this game as much for the action as for the story-line itself. Gameplay allows you to attack the situations in numerous ways. You can attack with guns blazing, snipe, use your psychic abilities, and try to sneak around the situation. It makes each level a little more interesting. One drawback is the save function. While in the game you have multiple checkpoints, however if you leave the game you must start at the beginning of that stage. It can be a little annoying but it didn't hurt too many times. All in all, I really liked this game, and recommend it.
